Description:
The Department of Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Division of Clinical Genomics of the University Health Network (UHN) and Sinai Health System (SHS) are seeking to recruit a visionary adult Clinical Geneticist to lead the UHN – SHS Division of Clinical Genomics, a Division of the joint Department of Medicine. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. This hospital Division Head position is for a 5-year term, renewable once following a successful review. Effective start date of appointment is July 1st 2024, or to be negotiated.

The Division of Clinical Genomics aspires to be a leader in the expansion of Genomic Medicine across subspecialty medical practices, positioning the Department of Medicine at University Health Network – Sinai Health System as a leader in this rapidly emerging field. The successful candidate will be charged with developing a vision for the Division which embraces new advances such as early adoption of clinical whole genome sequencing, gene therapies, population genomics and other areas of innovation.

The successful candidate must hold a MD (or equivalent) and recognized subspecialty Clinical Genomics qualifications. They must have or be eligible for licensure in Ontario.
