Mentorship Circle

About

The IPAC Mentorship Circle is a community-driven initiative designed to foster meaningful connections, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing among Indigenous medical students, residents, and physicians. Rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing, this program creates culturally safe spaces where members can seek guidance, share experiences, and build supportive relationships throughout their medical journeys.

How It Works

Flexible Mentorship – Whether you’re looking for a one-time mentoring session or a long-term mentor-mentee relationship, we are here to support your needs.

Mentor-Mentee Matching – Members are matched based on shared experiences, career goals, and interests, ensuring meaningful and relevant connections.

In-Person & Virtual Gatherings – The Mentorship Circle includes fall Mentorship Events at medical schools across Turtle Island, virtual events, and our Annual Mentorship Gathering.

Mentorship Toolkit – Rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing, the IPAC Mentorship Toolkit helps mentors and mentees build meaningful, culturally grounded relationships. With guiding principles, meeting prompts, and resources, it fosters respect, reciprocity, and shared knowledge to strengthen connections. Whether you’re beginning or deepening a mentorship, this resource offers guidance to support a meaningful and impactful journey.
