Past Annual Mentorship & AGM
IPAC Annual Mentorship Gathering and AGM – Our Stories. Our Medicine.
July 12th – 14th, 2024
We were honored to be welcomed onto the land of the Mi’kmaq people and gather at Dalhousie University. The event, themed “Our Stories. Our Medicine,” provided Indigenous medical students, residents, and physicians—both current and prospective—with the opportunity to share their academic journeys, expand their networks, and enjoy cultural activities.
IPAC Annual Mentorship Gathering and AGM – Planetary Health: Our Land, Our Medicine
July 6th-9th, 2023
IPAC’s Annual Mentorship Gathering and AGM took place July 6th-9th, 2023 in Winnipeg, MB. It was an opportunity for Indigenous Medical Students, Residents, and Physicians, both members and potential members, to come together to share stories of their academic journeys, grow their networks, and enjoy cultural activities. We would like to acknowledge that we gathered on ancestral lands of the Métis people, on Treaty One Territory.
PRIDoC 2022 – Connecting to the Spirit of the Land
July 10-15, 2022
The Indigenous Physicians Association of Canada (IPAC) hosted the 10th Biennial Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors Congress (PRIDoC), July 10-15, 2022 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This conference took place on the unceded, traditional territories of the Coast Salish: the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. PRIDoC is an Indigenous-led space for Indigenous physicians, residents and medical students, health researchers, health professionals and allies. We gather around shared issues of concern related to the health and wellness of the many Indigenous communities and nations throughout the Pacific Region.
Photos from this event can be found on the PRIDoC 2022 Facebook Page.
