Island Health has immediate opportunities for Pediatricians to join the Department of Pediatrics in multiple communities across Vancouver Island: Campbell River, Comox, Port Alberni, Nanaimo and Duncan.

Whether you are looking for a modern, well-equipped 75-bed community hospital, a dedicated pediatric ward and outpatient facility supported by a core team or interested in joining a community that will have a new hospital expected to open in 2027, we will help you find your fit. 

Join a collegial medical staff of Family Practitioners, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, General & Subspecialty Internists, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pathology and Radiology.

Island Health has an academic affiliation with the University of British Columbia (UBC) postgraduate programs and offer positions at teaching hospitals. They also have a Family Practice Residency Program and are involved in both medical student and residency education. Continue to grow through teaching opportunities with Island Health.

Benefits:

Education, Training and Experience: Eligible with the Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C
