Indigenous Physician Wellness and Joy in Work

Indigenous Physician Wellness and Joy in Work
The Indigenous Physician Wellness and Joy in Work (IPWJW) initiative began under the National Consortium for Indigenous Medical Education (NCIME), now known as the National Circle for Indigenous Medical Education. Formed in 2021, this Circle leads Indigenous-driven efforts to transform Indigenous medical education and promote culturally safe care.
Over three years of quarterly collaboration, this group developed a comprehensive framework and an implementation plan, resulting in 18 Calls to Action aimed at enhancing wellness and joy for Indigenous physicians and medical learners.
