Description:
Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer of Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), the Vice President, Clinical Quality & Safety (VP) is responsible for leading a transformational program of quality planning and improvement to create a patient- and client-centred, strategic approach to quality and continuous quality improvement. Overseeing a multifaceted portfolio, the VP fosters an organizational culture and capability of quality and knowledge translation throughout VCH by establishing a quality management system and aligning systems to enable this important work.
A member of the Senior Executive Team, the VP works in partnership with leaders throughout the region to ensure clinical engagement in the design and implementation of a comprehensive quality strategy and integrates a holistic view of the organization’s quality system. They also provide leadership to VCH Steering and Board Advisory Committees in the areas of Patient Safety, Clinical Quality, and Accreditation, as well as provide insights and recommendations to the President & CEO and Board of Directors in the development of integrated strategic and operational planning for clinical quality and safety across VCH.

Naturally humble and collaborative, the VP brings a proven track record of implementing creative clinical quality and safety initiatives to improve health services delivery and population health. Possessing exceptional analytical and critical reasoning skills, the ideal candidate excels at building partnerships and leading professional teams through significant organizational transformation.
The salary range for this position is $227,470 – $341,200 annually, supplemented by a competitive total compensation package.
