Are you an orthopedic surgeon looking for a meaningful locum opportunity in a dynamic and supportive environment? Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife is seeking orthopedic surgery locums to join our skilled and collegial surgical team.

Our facility is well-equipped to support a full scope of orthopedic procedures, including trauma, arthroscopy, and elective cases. Locums will work alongside a multidisciplinary team including ESS Physicians, FP-Anesthetists, General Practitioners, and full-time specialists in Orthopedics, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry.

Our two modern operating rooms run daily, supported by a capable OR team, with on-call anesthetic coverage for urgent cases, ED consults, and labour & delivery. Yellowknife provides access to a broad range of surgical subspecialties, with Edmonton serving as our referral centre for highly specialized care.

A standard orthopedic surgery locum week generally includes:
• 2 days in the OR for elective or urgent surgical cases
• 2 days of outpatient clinic for follow-ups and consults
• 2 days on call, covering orthopedic emergencies and inpatient care
